Making communication a resident priority

At the Resident Involvement Group meeting on 15 September, residents discussed the issues that mattered most to them. The group requested that communication be the next key topic for discussion.

The Resident Involvement Group always chooses the areas they want to focus on, and these priorities are built into future agendas. This request reflected how important clear, consistent communication is to residents.

At the same time, CAHA was beginning a review of its communication policy. This meant residents were able to influence the conversation at the right time and shape how we approach communication across the organisation.

What we did

We committed to working with the Resident Involvement Group to review communication as a key work stream. This forms part of our wider commitment to involve residents in reviewing and influencing our services, policies, and priorities.

This means residents help shape what we focus on and can see how their feedback leads to real improvements.
