As part of our Repairs Journey work, young residents shared that they would value practical advice on looking after their homes and dealing with everyday repair issues. They wanted a safe, informal space where they could ask questions, learn new skills and feel more confident living independently.

We listened to this feedback and organised a practical Basic Home Repairs workshop on 29 July.
The session covered everyday topics including.
- What to do if you have a leak.
- How to deal with a tripped fuse board.
- Testing smoke alarms.
- Simple ways to help prevent mould.
The difference
This workshop is a great example of how resident feedback leads to action. By listening to residents and responding to their ideas, we're helping people feel more confident in their homes while continuing to shape our Repairs Journey together.
