Residents Help Improve Repairs at CAHA

Group work at repairs workshop

On the 17 June Residents joined CAHA staff for a dedicated workshop to help shape the future of our repairs service.

The session brought together residents from across CAHA to share their experiences, identify areas for improvement and help us better understand what matters most when reporting and receiving repairs.

The workshop focused on the entire repairs journey, from the moment a repair is reported through to completion.

The interactive session allowed residents and staff to work through each stage of the repairs process together, identifying where improvements could be made and what changes would make the biggest difference to residents' experiences.

Residents shared their experiences, identified areas for improvement and helped shape the emerging Repairs Policy, ensuring it reflects the priorities and experiences of the people who use the service every day.

This workshop marks the first stage of CAHA's wider review of the repairs service. Further work is planned over the coming months, including seeking feedback from a wider range of residents to ensure as many voices as possible help shape future improvements.

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed their ideas. Your feedback will help us build a repairs service that better reflects the needs and experiences of residents.

Andrew Jacques, Director of Assets, reflected on the importance of involving residents in shaping services.

"Repairs are one of the most important services we provide, so it is vital that residents help shape how that service is delivered. This workshop was a great example of residents and staff working together to identify improvements and ensure our future approach reflects the experiences of the people who use our services every day."
