Reporting Damp and Mould
Everyone deserves to live in a safe and healthy home. Awaab's Law introduces new legal timescales for social landlords to investigate and address serious damp and mould problems.
At Christian Action Housing, we take reports of damp and mould seriously. We will investigate the cause, assess any risks to your health and safety, and take action to resolve the problem.
Under Awaab's Law:
Emergency hazards must be made safe within 24 hours.
Significant damp and mould hazards must be investigated within 10 working days.
Where a significant hazard is confirmed, landlords must take action to make the home safe within the required timescales .
Please report damp and mould as soon as you notice it. Don't wait for it to get worse. We will assess the problem, explain what happens next and keep you updated.
