Listening and acting at Vincent House

At the Resident Involvement Group meeting last year, a resident who lives at one of our supported properties, Vincent House, raised a number of questions about the building and how some of the services were working.

While the Resident Involvement Group usually focuses on wider organisational issues, we recognised the importance of hearing directly from residents at Vincent House. We committed to visiting the property to better understand the issues being raised.

What we did

The Resident Involvement Manager and Chief Executive visited Vincent House and met with several residents. To make sure everyone could take part, we used easy read information to support clear and accessible communication.

Hearing directly from residents helped us understand what needed to change. As a result, a deep clean of the kitchen was carried out, and residents shared valuable insight about the concierge service. This feedback will be taken into account when we tender for the concierge service in the future.

This reflects our ongoing commitment to listening to residents and making changes based on what they tell us.
