Introducing Your New Neighbourhood Service

We understand that providing you with a home is about far more than bricks and mortar. It is about creating communities where people feel safe, connected, and supported.

To help us provide a more personal, responsive, and joined-up service, we are introducing a new structure within our Housing and Community Services department.

As part of these changes, Housing Officers and Independent Living Officers will become Neighbourhood Officers. We will also be recruiting a dedicated Tenancy Sustainment Officer to provide additional support to residents who may need help maintaining their tenancy and accessing the services available to them.

These changes are designed to ensure we understand your needs, listen carefully to your concerns, and provide the right support at the right time. Where appropriate, this may include signposting you to specialist organisations outside of CAHA.

We are also increasing our investment in local communities. Residents will have the opportunity to meet their Neighbourhood Officer during annual estate inspections, helping us to identify local priorities and ensure our neighbourhoods remain welcoming, supportive, and places people are proud to call home.

To support this approach, our teams will be working more closely together. Neighbourhood Officers, Income Officers, and Surveyors will work side by side to provide a more coordinated service and ensure issues are addressed more effectively.

Our Independent Living schemes will continue to promote independence and support residents to enjoy their homes with confidence. Our aim is to help residents live independently while enjoying the right to quiet enjoyment of their home.

We are also strengthening our local presence by committing to visit every tenant at least once every two years. These visits will provide an opportunity to check in, understand any concerns, and ensure residents feel heard, valued, and supported.

We know that trust is built through actions, consistency, and genuine care. By making these changes, we aim to provide a service where every resident feels respected, listened to, and at the centre of everything we do.

Thank you for continuing to be part of our community.
