Aniekan Umoren - Chief Executive
Aniekan Umoren is our Chief Executive reporting to the Association’s Board of Management, which is led by our Chair Jackie Kelly. Aniekan is responsible for ensuring that the organisation delivers the overall plans and strategic direction agreed with the Board. She is accountable for the quality of service provided to our customers and giving the staff effective leadership to ensure effective performance across all parts of the Association.
Aniekan ensures that the Board is empowered to control the affairs of the Association by providing the relevant, accurate information and maintaining good governance. She is also is responsible for developing an effective strategy and resources to secure additional services and homes to meet housing needs in the local area we serve. Aniekan works with the Board to ensure the work of the Association meets its objectives as a registered housing association and charity.
Patrick Pedder - Director of Finance and Resources
Patrick is responsible for Finance, HR and IT for Christian Action. Patrick joined Christian Action as Finance and Resources Director in July 2020. Patrick is a qualified accountant with over 30 year’s experience. He has held senior level positions in the private, public and housing association sectors for over 20 years.
Tony Campbell - Operations Director
Tony has overall responsibility for the Association’s general needs and supported and retirement housing teams. He is also responsible for the association’s repairs and maintenance services. Tony has worked in social housing for 30 years and has held senior management positions for 20 years. Tony has worked for local authorities and housing associations in the midlands and London.
Penny Laws - Head of Customer Services
Penny’s role is to ensure that the Association’s strategy relating to housing management is implemented in the daily delivery of services to a high standard. Penny’s team provides the day to day management of the general needs housing stock across all the Boroughs. Her team also manages the Hendon Christian Housing stock which is based in London Borough of Barnet.
Jacqui Bainbridge - Head of Supported & Retirement Housing Services
Jacqui is Head of Supported and Retirement Housing for Christian Action Housing. Jacqui and her team manage a number of supported housing projects for young people age 16-25 in Haringey and Enfield. Together with the team they have developed a range of activities to support the young people into employment, education or training. Jacqui is also responsible for the provision of housing services for older tenants in Haringey, Barnet, Waltham Forest and Enfield.
Metz Acres - Head of HR
Metz is Head of Human Resources, responsible for operational and strategic HR, including learning and development. The HR team adopts a forward-thinking, business-partnering approach, supporting managers and team leaders to meet the Association’s aims and objectives and add value.
Chris Shemelides - Head of Business Support
Chris is responsible for providing strategic advice to the Senior Management Team & Board on procurement, compliance and GDPR and manage the internal audit process. Maintain and produce KPI reports to allow for the proper management of performance. Supporting the organisation by developing and maintaining information systems and processes including supporting users.
Matthew Nicol - Finance Business Partner
Matthew is the Finance Business Partner who sets the associations budgets and forecasts which aid in strategic decision making to add value to the association. Ensuring effective monetary controls through real and active partnerships with management and budget holders. Matt also provides real time support and analysis ensuring the company is achieving value for money.
Esther Kamaray – Financial Controller
Esther is responsible for Financial Accounts, Financial Control & Compliance. Esther joined Christian Action Housing Association in February 2020 as the Financial Controller.Esther ensures compliance with the financial policies and regulatory requirements of Christian Action Housing Association, resulting in the delivery of great value services that make a difference for our customers and our communities. This role also maintains robust internal financial controls and drive continuous improvement to support and strengthen the Finance function.
