This summer retirement housing have been very busy holding various summer events at various schemes.
Paul Court residents held their summer BBQ event on 25th of July, lucky for them it was one of the hottest days in July. Residents from Matthew Court attended and it was so great to see all residents interact with each other.
Hydon Court and Rebecca House residents also had a Joint summer barbeque on Thursday 8th of August with lovely sunny weather. There was plenty of food & drink for all to enjoy and good music which got some residents dancing, including family members and friends. Everyone that attended enjoyed the day and are already looking forward to next years.
Residents at Southchurch Court had a BBQ on Monday 19th August after having to put it off a couple of times due to rain. The weather was good, stayed sunny all afternoon and evening and some residents sat in the garden into the late evening. The afternoon was enjoyed by all, with residents saying they would like more BBQs, afternoon tea or picnics as it was so nice that people were out enjoying the sun together.
On Thursday 5th September retirement housing residents from across our services enjoyed a day trip to Southend-on-Sea. Residents went off in little groups, some walked down to the pier whilst others spent time in the arcades or shopping which was followed by a Fish and Chip lunch as well as ice cream. The weather was lovely and the sea glistened in the sun. A wonderful day was had by all before arriving back home at 5.15pm
These events are very important for Christian Action as it gives everyone a chance to enjoy each others company and have some fun with lovely food.
