Retirement Housing Celebrates Queens 90th Birthday

On Tuesday 7thJune the Christian Action Housing Retirement team held an afternoon tea event to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday.

‘It was a nice way to celebrate the Queen’s birthday’

Over 80 of our residents’ attended and a very enjoyable time was had by all. The hall was decorated with bunting and pictures of the Queen taken throughout her reign; an ongoing moving backdrop of the life of the Queen along with other members of the Royal family was shown throughout the afternoon.

‘I thought the day was excellent, the music was very good and the photo with the Queen was fun’

We also held a raffle, which was very popular and there was the opportunity to have your photo taken with the Queen.

Really enjoyed the afternoon, the entertainment was very good’

Music was provided by a local singer and lots of our residents got up onto the dance floor and had a wonderful time
