Our resident’s safety is our number one priority. All our services are now generally working in 'normal' ways, however, face-to-face meetings may be done via the phone or virtually.

Staff will follow the guidelines and precautions set out by the government and NHS.

If there are any known or suspected cases of COVID 19, you should notify us as soon as possible.

Repairs Service

Since March 2020, it has not been business as usual for all Social Landlords including Christian Action Housing Association.  A lot of our resource has gone into catch up repairs which has financial implications, this combined with the current Government guidelines to limiting contact to contain the spread of the new variant of Corona Virus and the major surge in infection rate across London, from January 2022, Christian Action will only approve emergency and urgent repairs requests between January and March 2022.  This will be reviewed on a monthly basis.  We are therefore not able to accept your request for a non-emergency or non-urgent repair during this period.  Please contact assetadmin@christianaction.org.uk so that your new routine repair can be logged with them. Please be reassured that any logged repairs will be dealt with from April 2022 in line with our repairs policy.

Any current backlog of routine repairs that are yet to be scheduled will also be held over until the new financial year (1st April 2022) or sooner if this is possible (subject to monthly review). All tenants who have outstanding routine repairs will be contacted by Christian Action Housing and advised of the delay. Please be assured that we are working closely with our contractors to continue to offer the best possible service in these difficult circumstances.

Covid-19 and your safety

We understand you may still have concerns about Covid-19. We’d like to reassure you that we and our contractor’s take this very seriously and their operatives will be equipped with the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This may include masks, gloves, disinfectant wipes and gels, but will vary depending on the nature of the work.

The operatives will keep a social distance if working in your home and we’d ask that you do the same. We may stop repair work if social distancing is not maintained.

Keeping us informed

Please let us know if our contractors are due to visit your home and a member of your household develops Covid-19 symptoms.

These include: a high temperature, a continuous cough, and a loss of taste or smell. Work will be delayed until your period of self-isolation has ended. This is vital for the safety of our contractors’ operatives/engineers and to stop the spread of Covid-19.
