I Am Experiencing Harassment, What Can I Do?

Harassment is a deliberate act designed to interfere with the peace, comfort and safety of an individual or group because of their race, colour, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, health or age. Christian Action strongly believes that neither tenants nor members of staff, the Association's contractors or representatives should have to face harassment and we will take action whenever any incident is reported to us.

What you can do about harassment

  • Report it to your Neighbourhood Officer, the Association’s Anti Social Behaviour Officer, the Safe Watch Service, your Scheme Manager or Support Officer if you feel you are being harassed
  • Report it to the police
  • You should keep a record of incidents of nuisance (e.g. time, date, nature of the nuisance) so that the details are clear if we, or any other agency, take the matter further.
  • Contact an appropriate agency who may be able to help you with specialist support and advice (e.g. Women’s Aid, Victim Support, Lesbian & Gay Switchboard, Citizens Advice Bureaux). Your Housing Officer will be able to give you contact details.
