New Build Homebuy (previously known as the Shared Ownership scheme) is a government-funded scheme that gives you the opportunity to own a home of your own by purchasing an affordable share of between 25% and 75% of the property's full value. A subsidised rent is paid on the remaining value of the property. You have the option of purchasing further shares in the property at a later date.
