We rely on you to report repairs, both internally and externally, as soon as you notice them. Failure to report them straight away can result in the risk of damage and increased costs. We will recharge you for the cost of repairs that you knowingly fail to report to us.
When you contact us, we will offer you an appointment date and time. The appointment will be for a morning (between 8.00 a.m. and 1.00 p.m.) or an afternoon (between 1.00 p.m. and 5.00 p.m.), Monday to Friday.
If you find that you cannot keep an appointment, please let us know straight away. If our contractors call and there is no one to let them in to do the work, we may recharge you for their time.
It is a condition of your tenancy that you allow us into your home to carry out repairs and inspections. If necessary, we will take legal action to enforce this.
This covers evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Calls will be automatically forwarded to our out of hours contractor. Please do not call the out of hours service unless your repair is an emergency. Ask yourself whether it can wait until the next working day. Out of hours emergency repairs should be reported on our 24 hour repair line: 01992 765 990.
