Introduction
Christian Action already owns or manages over 1300 properties in the 4 boroughs in which we operate. Our flats and houses range from traditional street properties through to new developments within existing estates and on sites that the Association has been able to purchase.
We continue to build new high quality homes to rent. Currently we have a number of exciting projects in development.
We take pride in seeking to provide attractive small scale developments that make a positive contribution to the communities in which they are located.
We seek to provide a balance of 1 and 2 bedroom flats together with 3 and 4 bedroom family homes that will meet the urgent need for transfer accommodation for families who are currently living in overcrowded conditions. In addition to our new build projects, we also purchase street properties in order to expand our portfolio of family homes.
Our development programme is part of an innovative working relationship between a number of developing Housing Associations called "North River Alliance". Through this consortium we have maintained "preferred partner" status with the Housing Corporation which enables us to secure ongoing funding through Government grants.
We work alongside Islington & Shoreditch Housing Association and Bethnal Green & Victoria Park Housing Association, who are also developing members of the North River Alliance. We continue to develop a programme of new housing provision for North London Muslim Housing Association, with whom we work closely.
