We have over 1550 homes for families, couples and single people. Our homes are located in four London Boroughs of Enfield, Haringey, Barnet and Waltham Forest. We also build new homes and refurbish older properties, often working with partners to help regenerate neighbourhoods.
Our lettings policy was revised in response to the Welfare Reform changes introduced by the Government on 1 April 2013. The revised allocations and lettings policy sets out our criteria for letting properties to new customers, offering transfers to existing customers, and mutual exchanges.
From 1 April 2013 all Christian Action properties are offered to customers in line with the new size criteria that applies to the social rented sector.
We will not offer properties that are larger than a household is permitted under these size criteria and customers will also be assessed to ensure they can afford to pay the rent on any property they might be offered. These conditions will apply to all customers, including those who are in receipt of Housing Benefit or Universal Credit and those not on benefits.
We do not take direct applications for our general needs housing and applicants are nominated via the relevant local authority.
There is a different criterion for supported housing for young people and our retirement housing, keyworker accommodation, special needs and our market rented accommodation which is set out in the allocations and lettings policy Allocations and Lettings Policy [pdf] 217KB.
